WELCOME!
You can get something for free just for showing up.
UPDATE...I have decided to offer another chance to get my books for free. On June 30, ALL my books will be free on kindle. If you don't have a Kindle, no problem, you can download a FREE app from Amazon to read Kindle books on your computer, iPad, Android phone, etc
Tell your friends!
Click here to go to my novel's Amazon page. (and PS-- I've had his novel reformatted and professionally re-edited, though sometimes things still get wonky. Contact me if you have any problems with it.)
But now on to the giveaway....
You may have been forced to read it in 10th grade, and if you have, I BEG you to give it another chance. It is a story of incredible love--a man who sacrificed everything for someone he loved--even his own identity. It is about a man who gained the world, and yet lost his own soul... it's a story that, well, a remake of will be in theaters this December:
Okay, so here's the deal: This week I'm going to be blogging about all things Gatsby--little known facts, video games, cartoons, etc. I will be giving away your choice of either 1) Paperback copy of The Great Gatsby by F. Scott Fitzgerald OR 2) the DVD of the 1974 movie starring Robert Redford and Mia Farrow (and believe it or not, a VERY young Sam Watterson as Nick Carraway. Oh Jack McCoy, how we've missed you!)
While I obviously prefer the book to the movie, you could do worse than watching Robert Redford for 2 hours.
All you have to do is leave a comment. I will put all names in a hat and draw a name out. Please note that I will need your snail mail address to send you the book / DVD. I do NOT sell addresses, spam, etc. because, well, that's just not cool.
And "Leaving the Comfort Cafe" is FREE June 24 and 25---just my little thank-you for stopping by, old sport! (and there are FREE reads on my website at www.dawndeannawilson.com)
Thank you to reading-romances.com for sponsoring the event.

I remember being one of the only students in class who enjoyed this book. I thought all the other kids were crazy for not loving it!

I actually did a paper on the Great Gatsby in college. I love that book, while many of my friends did not. I also downloaded your free book from Amazon...Thanks.

Thanks for letting us know about the free read, I got my copy.
I haven't read the book or seen the movie. One of these days I'll have to give one or the other a try.
I have to admit, when I first read this book I was too young to understand it. I hope this time around I'll be a little more aware!
Thank you for the giveaway!

Definitely open internationally---and WELCOME to all our international friends. I'm truly blessed to have friends from several different corners of the world: England, France, Morocco, Jordan---etc. (you'll find from previous posts that I'm somewhat obsessed with the Brits)
If you're from outside the States, let us know where you're from, and if you're ever North Carolina way, I'll be glad to serve as a tour guide :)
I love the Great Gatesby. I read it so long ago, I think it's time for another read through. Thanks for the giveaway.

I have to confess that I've never read The Great Gatsby. I'm slowly reading the classics though. Thanks so much for the giveaway!

I haven't read this book. But the movie seems to be great, so the book must be greater :)

I was *supposed* to read this book in high school, but I was too busy reading other things. The teachers always used to tell me that if I would just put down Poe, King and Shakespeare and read what was assigned, I would be pleasantly surprised. I didn't listen until I was an adult, and now I find myself reading more of what I should have 15 years ago. Oh well, better late than never! Thanks for the chance to add another one to my "read" list!
